Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her stage title Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016 where she started to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet back in 2012 after she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. Ari Lennox continued posting her music online including her self-released single Bound. The 21st day of July, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen included her in Elephant Eyes song"Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's remark. In the following season, the music was played around Dreamville. In December 2008, the news was made public that Rihanna had signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was the result of her participation to The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In the month of October she dropped her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track and also opened the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She also appeared as a guest on two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video was released on September 5th. On the 9th of November 2018 she dropped two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). In November, 13 the singer released two new singles, titled The No One and Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby is a track that she recorded alongside Cole on Creed II's soundtrack on 16 November. The track was released as a standalone single in February 2019, to coincide with the release of her debut album. The song, made available with a video uploaded to YouTube on February 20, 2019, has been watched over 3 million times within the first 7 days. In December 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
